A total of 170 young artists of 33 nationalities have registered to participate in the seventh edition of the Auditorio de Tenerife’s Opera (e)Studio. Auditions started on Monday in Bologna and will continue in Tbilisi, Madrid and Tenerife. More info here (in Spanish).
This spring, Operaverkstan (Malmö Opera) will give 30 performances of the opera Comedy on a Bridge for young people between the ages of 15-19. The team will visit the schools involved before the performances. More info here (in Swedish).
The Junge Oper Rhein Ruhr collaboration (Germany) presents “Nils Karlsson-Däumling” by Thierry Tidrow. This mobile theatre production with soprano and speaking violinist will tour kindergartens and children’s hospitals around Dusseldorf. More info here.
Rehearsals are currently underway for the world premiere of StaatsOper Stuttgart’s Antigone-Tribunal with citizens of Stuttgart participating as the Greek chorus. Only a few weeks to go! More info here (in German).
The community opera PUSH (Howard Moody and Benoït De Leersnyder) with a mixed chorus of schoolchildren, teenagers and adults, will premiere this March. It will feature La Monnaie’s Children’s and Youth Chorus and La Monnaie Chamber Music Ensemble. More info here.
