The Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMawards) promote and honour creativity and innovation in the field of music for young audiences. The 11th edition is now open and officially accepting applications for all four categories, including the RESEO Prize for Best Opera!
The RESEO Prize seeks to reward promote artistic excellence in productions for young audiences. Last year’s winners were Umculo with Romeo’s Passion – this year it could be you!
The YAMawards are open to four distinct categories:
The winner of the Public Choice Award will be selected from the top four nominees in each category by public vote.
Participation is open to all music-based live productions for audiences up to 18 years of age. The main criteria are: quality of music, quality of performance, relevance/necessity of the program, audience communication and international touring potential.
The RESEO Prize for Best Opera seeks to reward promote artistic excellence in opera productions for young audiences.
Applications close on 4 May 2020. The YAMawards are governed by international juries composed of young audience professionals selected by JMI and RESEO. The 2020 nominees will be announced on 1 September 2020.
The winners will be announced at the YAMawards ceremony on 20 October during the 2020 YAMsession, which will take place in Larvik (Norway) from 20 to 22 October.
