Hosted by Glyndebourne in partnership with Create Music (East Sussex and Brighton & Hove Music Hub) and South East Dance.
Cultural organisations, artists and educators all play a role in nurturing new generations of young talent. But what do pathways into artistic professions look like in 2023, and how do they compare with more traditional training? What are the intersections between social inclusion, “artivism” and the quest for artistic excellence? How can culture professionals collaborate, within and beyond the sector, to ensure access to talent development for all young people?
The RESEO Conference 2023 “Potential Unlocked” will draw upon practice, expertise and resources from across Europe to identify the ways we can support young people in reaching their potential as artistic adults. Inspired by Ben Sandbrook’s concept of holistic “progression environments”, we will explore contemporary learning pathways from a young person’s perspective, address the impact of fast-evolving digital technologies, and reflect on how to connect learning programmes with social engagement. Take a look at what to expect from the programme.
RESEO is looking forward to welcoming delegates to an immersive, participatory event exploring pathways into the arts from the perspective of young people. Join us in Brighton on 16-18 November for a transformative learning experience alongside arts professionals from across Europe. Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend events at Glyndebourne.
