Fundació Castell de Peralada

Spain

Founded in 1987 by music enthusiast Carmen Mateu, the Festival has become a celebrated highlight of the summer arts calendar. With a unique dedication to cultural enrichment, it supports excellence in lyric and dance, champions emerging creators and composers, and invites renowned artists and companies. Through its commitment to artistic quality and innovation, the Festival has made a lasting impact on Spain’s cultural landscape.

Aims

Campus Peralada offers a space for reflection and connection, reaching over four thousand local students through its programs. The goal of Campus Estiu (Summer Campus) is to introduce students from the Girona area, who may lack access to the dramatic arts, to the world of performance with the participation of international artists.

In its fifth year, Campus Peralada expanded into three distinct branches:
– Campus Escola (School Campus)
– Campus Salut (Health Campus)
– Campus Estiu (Summer Campus)

Under the question “What is the role of dance today?“ we have developed a whole series of workshops, events and activities conducted in primary care settings in the area around us to reflect together on the role of culture, the body and dance.
