SPACE is an international network project, building bridges between the worlds of Arts education and STEM education through working with trainee teachers in the delivery of innovative & interdisciplinary education models.
The project is funded by Erasmus +, and run by a strategic partnership of European organisations led by AP University College Antwerp. Other partners include: Stord Haugesund University College (SHUC) Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) Curso de Musica Silva Monteiro (CMSM) Speel je wijs RESEO – European network for Opera and Dance Education (RESEO)
The project will run from 2016 – 2019, and will bring students together from across the partnership universities to explore delivering STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) through creative learning methodologies. There will be training weeks and STEM exploration weeks in Norway, Belgium and Portugal. The project will also create a digital toolkit for the SPACE, a guidebook and mobile app for Write A Science Opera, and a pedogical framework for the SPACE methodology.
RESEO will be working with the SPACE partners to connect our membership in to events and resources created across the next 3 years.
